Touring days in Piemonte
Day 2 of our stay was a full day tour. After breakfast we got in our minivan and drove to the UNESCO listed Sanctuary of Oropa, 1159 meters above sea level in the Biellese Pre-Alps.

Walk and Lunch at La Trappa in Sordevolo
We were taken on a forested mountain road to a spot where hikers can make longer hikes. But we walked down to a former Trappist monastery where they have a rustic country lunch of locally sourced, sustainable products.

At the next stop, Ingrid talked about the old town, the buildings, history, ruling families who lived here. It was pretty warm, and we were getting a bit tired, so we stopped at a café for rest and refreshment!
Day 5 of our time at La Bursch started with working a half day in our studio. For the afternoon and evening, Ingrid had planned an excursion in the surrounding areas. She packed in a lot of things to see, do and eat. Never a dull moment in this trip!

Next we visited a historic hat factory renowned for its craftsmanship and quality. It is a family-run establishment and we got a private tour of the workings of the factory, and we learned the history of the business and how the hats are made. A few of our group even bought hats!
