Naples

After Puglia, we took a FlixBus from Bari to Naples. I’ve always heard that Naples is a wild place, and our introduction to the city immediately bore this out. We chose an Airbnb fairly close to the main train station, Garibaldi, as we were coming into that station with the bus. It’s the main transportation hub, and our plans included a day trip to Pompeii and one to Herculaneum (Ercolano) which are both easily accessible by a local train.

The streets of the inner old city are alive with people and plenty of fast moving (for tight spaces) scooters. One really needs to have one’s wits about them when walking and galking. You could easily be hit by a crazy scooter driver!
